Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Testing and Inspection
1. Remove the PCV valve.
2. Attach a clean hose to the PCV valve.
3. Blow from cylinder head side of the valve, check that air passes through easily.
CAUTION: Do not suck air through the valve. Petroleum substances inside the valve are harmful.
4. Blow from Intake Manifold Side of the valve, check that air passes through with difficulty.
5. If the PCV valve fails either check, replace it.
6. Reinstall the PCV valve.
