3) Loosen the tensioner bolt "B".
4) Allow the tension spring to pull the timing belt as far as possible.
5) Once again, temporarily tighten the tensioner bolt "B".
6) Rotate the crankshaft counterclockwise two full turns (720°).

a) Check that the crankshaft timing pulley mark is aligned with the oil seal retainer setting mark.

b) Check that the camshaft timing pulley setting mark is aligned with the front cover setting mark.

7) Loosen the tensioner bolt "B".
8) Allow the tension spring to pull the timing belt as far as possible.
9) Tighten the tensioner bolt "B" to the specified torque.

Torque: 19 N.m (14 lb.ft.) 

2. Install the timing belt cover.

Tighten the timing cover fixing bolts to specified torque.

Torque: 6 N.m (32 lb.in.) 

3. Install the crankshaft pulley.
4. Install the crankshaft pulley fixing bolt.

Tighten the bolt to specified torque using the special tool J-38674.

Torque: 118 Nm (87 lb.ft.)

5. Install the starter motor.

Tighten the fixing bolt and nut to specified torque.

Torque: 86 N.m (63 lb.ft.) 

6. Install the power steering pump.
7. Install the water pump pulley.
8. Install the cooling fan.

Tighten the fixing nuts to specified torque. 

Torque: 26 N.m (20 lb.ft.)
