Fuel Pressure Regulator Vacuum Switching Valve: Testing and Inspection

Fuel Pressure / Canister VSV Connector

Fuel Pressure / Canister VSV Connector Pin ID

VSV CHECK

-

Disconnect VSV connector.

-

Using an ohm meter, check resistance between "LgY" and "BW" wires. If resistance is not approximately 30 ohms, replace VSV.

Canister And Pressure Regulator Vacuum Switching Valve

Confirm that air passes between "throttle valve" and "pressure regulator" fittings

-

Apply battery voltage to VSV wires "LgY" and "BW". Solenoid should click and air should pass between "common chamber" and "pressure
regulator" fittings.

-

Replace VSV if faulty.
