Neutral Safety Switch: Description and Operation
Inhibitor Switch
PURPOSE
Provide A/T gear position information to the ECM.
LOCATION
On L.H. side of A/T case.
OPERATION
The gear selection information is used by the ECM to permit starter motor operation (neutral safety) and control engine idle under various load
conditions.
