AFFECTED VEHICLES

1991-92 Rodeo (UC) models equipped with four-wheel drive and automatic transmission before VIN N4348202.

SERVICE INFORMATION

On some affected vehicles, a pulsating harmonic noise may be heard from the shift selector lever area while driving up slight grades with the torque
converter in lock-up condition at speeds between 40 - 45 mph.

To eliminate the noise, a new, improved transfer lever is available from American Isuzu Parts Distribution Network (AIPDN).

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Install a new, improved transfer lever (Figure 1) (listed in the "Parts Information" section of this Service Bulletin), as described in the appropriate
Workshop Manual.
