Service Information
Beginning with the 2003 Model Year, Isuzu introduced the Isuzu Immobilizer System in the Rodeo, Rodeo Sport and Axiom with 3.2L/3.5L engines. An
integral component of the Immobilizer System is the Transponder Key (see figure 1).
Due to the configuration of the Transponder Key, cutting a key blank using the Curtis No.15 Code Cutter is not possible. However, the Transponder Key
can be cut using a Curtis No. 15 XL Code Cutter or the Curtis PC+ HD Computerized Code Cutter.
The Curtis No. 15 XL Code Cutter is identified by a brass plated carriage and black riser block (see figure 2).
NOTE:
Vehicles with the Immobilizer must have ALL Transponder Keys reprogrammed to a vehicle when a new key is programmed.
