Brake Hose/Line: Service and Repair
Brake Line

Brake Pipe Components

REMOVAL

^

Raise the vehicle and support it with suitable safety stands.

^

Remove wheel and tire assembly.

^

Clean dirt, grease, and other foreign material off the pipe fittings at both ends.

Order of Removal

1. Brake pipe
2. Plastic clip

Specs:
Tighten brake pipes to 16 Nm (12 lb. ft.)

INSTALLATION

To install, follow the removal steps In the reverse order, noting the following.

Always use new copper gaskets.

After installing the brake hoses, bleed brakes. See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Hydraulic System Bleeding/RWAL ABS
