Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension

REPLACEMENT

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist, then, after securing the vehicle remove the upper and lower nuts and washers.
2. After removing the hardware detach the old shock absorber from the vehicle.
3. Attach the new shock absorber onto the vehicle by using new a  upper nut and washer and then tightening the nut to 20 Nm (14 ft. lbs.). 

4. Insert the new lower nut and washer by applying rubber grease to the inside of the rubber bushing then tightening the nut to 40 Nm (29 ft. lbs.).
