Front Axle Switch: Description and Operation
Rear Wheel Antilock Brake System

The front axle switch provides a ground when the transfer case is shifted into 4L or 4H. This lights the 4WD indicator lamp and also signals the
Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) that the vehicle is operating in 4WD. The only difference between Rear Wheel Anti-lock (RWAL) system
function in 2WD and 4WD is related to antilock valve dump valve pulsing.
