1. Motor pack (4)

NOTE:
With the hydraulic unit upside down, and the gears facing you, rotate each hydraulic unit gear counterclockwise until movement stops. This
procedure will position the pistons very close to the top of the modulator bore, simplifying the brake bleeding procedure.

Install motor pack to hydraulic unit.

^

Tighten the motor pack fixing bolts to specified torque.

Specs:
Torque To 4.5 Nm (39 lb. in.)

2. Gear (3)

Install the gear and nut to hydraulic unit.

^

Tighten the gear fixing nuts to specified torque

Specs:
Torque To 8.5 Nm (74 lb. in.)

3. Under cover mounting pad mounting grommet (2)

Install the under cover and bolt.

^

Tighten the under cover fixing bolts.

Specs:
Torque To 4 Nm (35 lb. in.)

4. ABS Solenoid (1)

Install solenoid to hydraulic unit

NOTE:
^

Lubricate seal on solenoid with clean brake fluid.

^

Verify that the solenoid lip seal is properly positioned before solenoid is installed into the hydraulic unit.

Position solenoid so that its electrical connector will face the same direction prior to removal.

^

By hand, press down firmly on the solenoid until its flange seats onto the hydraulic unit.

^

Tighten the solenoid mounting bolts.

Specs:
Torque To 4.5 Nm (39 lb. in.)

^

Connect solenoid harness connector.

^

Connect battery cable to battery.

^

Bleed brake system. Refer to "Bleeding Procedure". See: Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Service and Repair/System Bleed
