Lateral Accelerometer: Service and Repair

With Four Wheel Antilock Brakes Only

Accelerometer

REMOVAL

1. Center console

Refer to "Center Console Removal".

2. Accelerometer wiring connector

^

Disconnect the connector.

^

Disconnect the connector clip from bracket.

3. Accelerometer fixing bolt
4. Accelerometer

INSPECTION AND REPAIR

Refer to "DTC 97, DTC 98".

INSTALLATION

1. Accelerometer (4)

^

Care should be taken so that the accelerometer is not installed in the wrong direction.

2. Accelerometer fixing bolt (3)

^

Tighten the fixing bolt to the specified torque.

Specs:
Torque to  6 Nm (52 lb. in.)

3. Accelerometer wiring connector (2)
4. Center console (1)
