1.

Remove timing belt cover.

2.

Rotate crankshaft to position the No. 1 cylinder to TDC on the compression stroke by aligning camshaft pulley's timing marks, Fig. 43.

3.

Loosen camshaft pulley bolts, then the timing belt tension.

4.

Remove timing belt. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD.

5.

Remove camshaft pulleys, then the distributor assembly.

6.

Remove camshaft bearing cap bolts in sequence as shown in Fig. 45.

7.

Remove camshafts, then the camshaft oil seals.
