Position the template on the plastic center of the spare tire cover, as shown in Figure 2. Trace the 1/2-inch template hole onto the plastic with a
pencil.

Using a hole saw, cut a 1/2-inch hole in the plastic, using care to avoid damaging the spare tire carrier behind the plastic.
6.
Remove the padlock from its hasp, install the hasp from behind the tire through lug hole "A" and the newly made hole in the spare tire cover
plastic (Figure 3). Install the lock to the hasp.
7.
Reinstall the vinyl tire cover.
