Check clearance between vane and pump body, Fig. 50.. Clearance should be .0079-.0106 inch (.2-.27 mm). If clearance is greater than the
maximum limit, replace entire pump assembly.

5.

Check clearance between rotor shaft and pump body. If clearance is greater than .0079 inch (.04 mm), replace entire pump assembly.

6.

When replacing pinion and shaft assembly, install shaft into pump body and install pinion onto shaft. Drill a hole through pinion and shaft using a
5 mm drill. Install pin and secure.

7.

Reverse procedure to assemble pump.
