Turbocharger Inspection

Turbine & Compressor

Inspect turbine and compressor impellers for any deformations or cracking. Make sure the turbine shaft can spin freely without any binding or
noise.

By-Pass Valve Controller

1.

Check the operation of the by-pass valve controller by applying vacuum to the controller. The pushrod should move as vacuum is applied. Check
for any binding of the controller shaft or wastegate valve.

Manifold Surfaces

1.

Inspect manifold and mating surface of turbocharger unit for any heat deformaties or flaking of metal. If any wear is noticed, replace the exhaust
manifold and/or turbocharger unit.
