ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR CORROSION

VEHICLES AFFECTED

All Isuzu models.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Under extremely cold and wet conditions, corrosion may develop within engine room electrical connectors and relays. This can result in a wide range of
electrical system malfunctions.

A plastic cover is available to protect those relays which are not mounted inside the relay box.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

If the electrical terminals within a connector are corroded, clean or repair them as required. Replace corroded relays. All relays that have been
replaced should have a cover installed over the new relay.

2.

Install plastic cover as follows:

a.

Slip the connector through the slot in the cover and slide the cover up the harness.

b.

Slide the cover down over the connector and relay.
