Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

INSPECTION AND REPAIR

Make necessary adjustments, repairs, and part replacements if wear, damage, or other problems are discovered during inspection.

Pedal free play and height

Clutch Pedal Height (H2):

232.5 - 242.5 mm (9.15 - 9.55 in)

Play: (H1) 

5 - 15 mm (0.2 - 0.6 in) 

Clutch pedal height and free play adjustment

1.  (a) If equipped with cruise control:

Remove clutch switch connector. Loosen lock nut, then turn switch out until there is a gap between the switch plunger and clutch pedal.

(b) If not equipped with cruise control: 

Loosen clutch pedal adjusting bolt.

2. Loosen clutch master cylinder push rod lock nut. Turn push rod by hand to set clutch pedal height to within specification.

NOTE: Measure clutch pedal height from the firewall, not from the floorboard.
