1996-97 TROOPER (UX) WINDSHIELD MOLDING TAPPING NOISE
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1996-97 Trooper (UX) models equipped with hood-mounted wind deflector accessory.
Some affected vehicles may experience a tapping noise coming from the driver or passenger side dash area when traveling at speeds over 60 miles per
hour. This tapping noise may be caused by turbulence generated from the hood-mounted air deflector accessory.
To eliminate this tapping noise, seal the windshield molding to the A-pillar with ThreeBond 1207B Silicone Gasket (Part. No. 2-90067-801-0), using the
procedure described in this Service Bulletin.
