Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
Lambda (Oxygen) Sensor
1.
Unplug sensor connectors.
2.
Unscrew sensor from downpipe and remove.
3.
Check threads in downpipe and ensure that they are in good condition before attempting to install a new sensor.
4.
Carefully coat threads of new sensor with anti-seize compound. Do not contaminate sensor louvered end.
5.
Screw sensor into downpipe and torque to 36 - 44 ftlb (50 - 60 Nm).
6.
Plug in electrical connectors.
