Undo and remove the seat switch panel securing screws, and displace switch panel from the seat base.

Check that grease is present at the front tilt slide-way area and, if installed, cushion extension slide-way area. (Figure 1)

If no grease is observed, apply grease and test as follows:

If cushion extension function is installed, apply grease to cushion extension motor gearbox pivot area. (Figure 2)

If cushion extension function is installed, apply grease to cushion extension operating screw. (Figure 3)

Install seat switch and panel assembly to seat base; install and tighten securing screws.

Refer to GTR Section 501-10 and install seat.
^
Operate seat to extremes of travel five times.

If grease was present during the initial inspection or if the fault is still apparent after grease application, refer to GTR Section 501-10 and install a
new front seat base.
