Front Wheel Bearing/Wheel Speed Sensor - Replacement - Installation Precautions

Issue:

Replacement front wheel bearings are supplied complete with a new wheel speed sensor already installed and sealed into the bearing housing. Do not
separate the wheel sensor from the assembly when installing. The seal is important in preventing the entry of water that can lead to premature failure of
the bearing.

Action:

When installing a wheel bearing/wheel speed sensor assembly, use great care not to disturb the sealed joint of the wheel speed sensor to the bearing
housing during installation of the bearing.

If there is any doubt about the integrity of the sealing, or if the sensor was disturbed while installing the bearing, follow the revised sealing procedure
detailed in Technical Bulletin S206-02.
