Inoperative Windshield Washer - Operated While Frozen - Upgrade Fuse To 15 amp

Issue:

Owners of some 2000-01 MY S-TYPE vehicles within the above VIN range, may experience an inoperative windshield washer system after attempting
to operate the systems while it was frozen.

In such cases only, the 10 amp fuse can be upgraded to a 15 amp fuse.

Action:

In case of a customer complaint of the above condition on a 2000-01 MY S-TYPE vehicle, replace the 10 amp fuse for the windshield washer system
with a 15 amp fuse.

FUSE UPGRADE PROCEDURE

1.

Open hood and place covers over fenders.

2.

Remove engine compartment fuse box cover.

3.

Remove windshield washer pump fuse (10 amp, position 2).

4.

Install 15 amp fuse in position 2 (Illustration 1).

5.

Install engine compartment fuse box cover.

6.

Remove fender covers and close hood.
