Steering Column Control Module: Service and Repair

Module - Steering Column Lock (SCLM)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

CAUTION: Prior to removal of the module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the PDU. This information
needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed.

CAUTION:  Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

2. Remove the driver side airbag. See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair 

3. Detach the driver side instrument panel lower.

1. Remove the retaining screws.
2. Unclip the lower shroud.
3. Detach the lower shroud.

4. Detach the steering column lower shroud.
