9. NOTE:  RH shown, LH similar.

Remove both the tie rod ends retaining nuts.

Remove and discard the retaining nuts.

10. CAUTION:  When the tie rod end is separated from the wheel hub assembly, the ball joint seal should be protected to prevent damage.

NOTE:  RH shown, LH similar.

Using the special, detach both the tie rod ends from the wheel hub assemblies.
