Voice Activated Control Component Location

Driver Seat Module (DSM)

The DSM is located under the driver seat and controls the seat memory recall positions.

Driver Door Module (DDM)

The DDM is located in the driver door behind the trim panel. The DDM controls the keyless entry operations and global closing.

General Electronic Module (GEM)

The GEM module is located behind the driver side cowl side trim panel. The GEM module controls the wiper and security systems.

Rear Electronic Module (REM)

The REM module is located in the passenger side luggage compartment behind the trim panel. The REM module controls the locking/unlocking of the
rear doors. The GEM and DDM modules interact with the REM.

Voice Activated Control Module (VACM)

The VACM is located in the driver side luggage compartment behind the trim panel. The VACM module controls and processes all the voice commands
given by the driver, then delivers this information to the audio unit, GSM or AMPS cellular phones and the climate control modules which then carry out
these commands.
