Carefully reposition the front seat for access to the seat harness connector.

Remove the seat harness connectors from their seat frame mounting tangs (Illustration 2). Do not unplug the connector.

Note:

To eliminate the need to disconnect the battery, ensure the connectors remain connected.

The previous operation is required to allow harness more free play when maneuvering the front seat (Illustration 2)

Pull the front safety belt against spring tension to gain more slack to assist front seat maneuverability.

Carefully reposition front seat on its side for access to the safety belt buckle. During this operation, the seat back protrudes through the rear door
opening. (Illustration 3).
