7. Detach the lower steering column.

Remove the steering gear shaft pinch bolt.

8. CAUTION:  Whenever the steering gear unions and hoses are disconnected the steering gear valve body ports and hoses should be plugged to

prevent dirt ingress.

Disconnect the power steering supply and return tubes.

Drain the fluid into a suitable container.

Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
