Engine MIL Illuminated with DTC P1254 Stored

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:
The engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may be illuminated with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1254 stored in the Engine control module
(ECM). This may be caused by the throttle limp home spring diagnostic incorrectly diagnosing a fault when there is none present.

CAUTION: 

If DTC P1254 is present after performing the Repair Procedure outlined below, the ECM diagnosis of this fault is correct and must be investigated
further.

Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to update the ECM software.
