Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
Steering Wheel

Open the doors.
-
Centralize the road wheels and remove the ignition key.

Remove the pad from the centre of the steering wheel.
-
Slacken the nut (1) securing the wheel to the shaft, do not fully remove.
-
Pull steering wheel (2) to release from the shaft, remove the securing nut and steering wheel.
-
Remove the connecting boss securing screws and remove the boss.
-
Remove the split collars (3) from the steering column.
-
Apply grease to the split collars and fit to the steering shaft.
-
Ensuring that the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position fit to the shaft.
-
Fit and tighten the securing nut.
-
Refit the steering wheel pad.
-
Close the door.
