JDS ENGINE MANAGEMENT TEST
Beginning with VIN 546900, XJ6 3.6 vehicles incorporate a revised fuel injection harness with heat shrink used to seal all injector connectors. Because
of this revision, the following changes have been made to the JDS engine management test procedure:

It is now possible to leave the fuel injector harness intact when using the JDS current probe to probe injector wires.

The injector wire covering includes a white band which is labeled with the injector number. This identifies the white/brown wire of each
connector.
NOTE:
Due to the use of heat shrink around all fuel injector connectors, it is no longer possible or necessary to pull back the injector boot for wire
access.
