1.

Thoroughly clean exterior of pump.

2.

Remove plugs, then drain and discard fluid.

3.

Using drive coupling removal tool No. 18G-1445 or equivalent, remove drive dog from pump shaft.

4.

Insert a punch in hole in rear of pump body and dislodge spring ring. Fig. 12. Remove ring with screwdriver.

5.

Tap lightly on casing to free endplate.

6.

Remove endplate O-ring seal (13) from pump body and discard. Fig. 13.

7.

Examine exposed portion of driveshaft. If it is corroded, thoroughly clean with crocus cloth. This will prevent damage being caused to shaft
bushing when tapping shaft through. If shaft bushing is damaged, replace with entire pump housing.

8.

Lightly tap shaft (1) through pump body, carrying pump rotor assembly with it. Fig. 13.

9.

Extract other O-ring seal (12) from pump body and discard.

10.

Carefully separate pump rotor components.

11.

Remove circlip (8), then withdraw rotor (6) and thrust plate (5) from shaft.

12.

Remove driveshaft oil seal (2) using a punch.
