Adjust ball end connector, (Fig. 1, B), to achieve a dimension of 2-7/8", (Fig. 1, A), and tighten ball end locknut. Ensure that the inner cable
to slider block location remains aligned and inner cable is not twisted within the outer cable.

Set transmission selector lever and gear selector lever to position "D".

Connect inner cable to slider block (Fig. 2, A), and tighten retaining nut.

Adjust the outer cable locknuts until the gear selector lever shifts smoothly across the J-gate "D" position with the minimum of inner cable
movement.
7.
Install gear selector lever module onto housing.
8.
Ensure that the gear selector lever (when in position "N") aligns centrally with "N" detent position of module.

NOTE:
On earlier vehicles it may be necessary to stretch the J-gate housing, (Fig. 3, A), to ensure that the correct position is achieved.
9.
Secure gear selector lever and tighten the four mounting screws. Ensure that the lever transfers smoothly across the J-gate.
