Vanden Plas L6-4.0L (1990)
8. Remove the motor/pump special mounting bolt.
9. Displace and remove the motor/pump unit.
10. Slacken off and remove the accumulator. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
11. Remove the pressure warning switch. Clean the surrounding area.
REFIT
1. Fit a new O-ring to the pressure warning switch. Fit the pressure warning switch to the new motor/pump unit.
2. Fit a new O-ring to the accumulator. Fit and tighten the accumulator to:
Accumulator to pump .............................................................................................................................................................................. 4O-46 Nm
3. Fit the assembly to the vehicle, route the harness through the mounting bracket.
4. Fit and tighten a new special bolt to:
Pump/motor mounting bolt .......................................................................................................................................................................... 7-9 Nm
5. Fit a new O-ring to the low pressure hose, fit the hose and retaining clip.
6. Reconnect the bundy pipe at the motor/pump unit end.
7. Reconnect the multi plugs.
8. Bleed the ABS hydraulic system.
9. Switch on the ignition.
10. When the accumulator is charged to the upper cut-out point, top up the reservoir to the maximum level.
11. Fit and tighten the filler cap.
