Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Description and Operation
Pressure Reducing Valve
REMOVE
NOTE: Read the notes relating to the ABS system bleed procedure before commencing this operation.
1. Discharge the hydraulic accumulator by operating the brake pedal approximately 20 times, until the pedal goes hard.
2. Open the hood. Place suitable absorbent material around the pressure reducing valve area to catch any spilt fluid.

3. Disconnect the pipe union.
4. Remove the valve.
REFIT
1. Position the new valve to the vehicle, fit and tighten the valve unions.
2. Clean the working area.
3. Bleed the ABS hydraulic system.
4. Switch ignition ON.
Reservoir Fluid Level
5. When the accumulator is charged to the upper cut-out point, top up the reservoir to the maximum level.
6. Fit and tighten the filler cap.
