ABS - Procedure If Harness Connectors Become Loose

ABS RELAY HOUSING

If the ABS pump relay (DAC 4506) requires replacement or disconnection on early 1990 MY sedan vehicles, it may be necessary to perform the
following procedure if the harness connectors become loose/disconnected.

NOTE:

Relay bases identified with a A.M.P. logo, or a red or purple spot are not affected.

Disconnect the battery.

Remove the relay and terminal housing from the mounting bracket.

^

Remove the relay from the terminal housing.

Remove the plastic terminal retaining plug from the rear of the terminal housing, fig. 1 & 2.

Remove one of the heavy duty spade terminals from the terminal housing, fig. 3.
