A/C CONTROL PANEL MALFUNCTIONS

ISSUE:
A/C control panel malfunctions due to a faulty ECU. Control panel malfunctions are the following:

No fan speed response when LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH mode is selected, although the DEFROST mode operates normally.

High speed fan in LOW mode slows down when NORMAL mode is selected.
^
Control panel illumination is out of sequence or flashing.
ACTION:
Install a replacement ECU in conjunction with the correct water temperature switch (identified by the color of the switch plastic body).

The 560 ohm resistor (JLM 1901) in the water temperature switch circuit must be removed when installing ECU JLM 2211 on vehicles up to
VIN 594576.
