Fuel Pump Relay: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
Fuel pump relay controls operation of fuel pump.
OPERATION
Relay is energized for approximately .5 seconds when ignition is switched ON, to pressurize fuel system. When engine cranking begins, relay is
energized again. If ECU senses engine is running, relay will remain energized for continued pump operation. If engine stops with ignition turned on,
ECU will interrupt ground circuit for fuel pump relay.
LOCATION
Located in right rear corner of trunk.
