Handbrake Brake Cable: Adjustments
Handbrake cable adjustment linkage is located on the underside of floor panel.
NOTE: Handbrake calipers automatically adjust themselves. Generally, the only reason to adjust the cable would be after replacing it or if it has
stretched. If the handbrake does not work properly, the possibility of a stuck caliper adjuster or other problem, is likely.
1. Be sure handbrake lever is "FULLY OFF".

2. Loosen locknut and cable end to allow slack in cable.
Rear Brake Pads
3. Be sure caliper levers are in "FULLY OFF" position by pressing levers toward outside of car.
Handbrake Cable Adjustment
4. Push linkage lever forward.
5. Tighten cable end to a point just short of where caliper levers start to move. If the cable is adjusted so that all slack is removed, the handbrake
pads can drag and the calipers will not adjust.
6. Tighten locknut.
