Throttle Cable/Linkage: Adjustments
CHECKING
1.
Ensure that the throttle return springs are correctly secured and that the throttle moves freely and rests against the closed stop when released.
2.
Ensure that the throttle butterfly closed stop screw has not been moved. If it has, check and if necessary, adjust.
ADJUSTING
1.
Loosen the locknuts at the outer throttle cable bracket.
2.
Adjust the position of the outer cable in bracket to place inner cable under light tension but not to move the throttle operating lever.
3.
Tighten locknuts.
4.
Re-check adjustment.
