Child restraint anchorages are provided in Series III and XJ-S models at each rear seating position. They take the form of captive nuts welded to the
underside of the horizontal panel behind the rear seat.
On XJ6 and XJ-S models, black plastic slotted blanking plugs are visible on the rear parcel shelf. On Vanden Plas and early Series III models, the
anchorage points are located in the same position but under the parcel shelf trim, and can easily be located by touch. The captive nuts accept a 5/16 UNC
bolt.
IMPORTANT - The child restraint anchorages are designed to withstand only those loads imposed by child restraints fitted according to the
manufacturer's instructions.
