NOTE: Increasing the length of the cable causes an increase in pressure; decreasing the length of the cable causes a decrease in pressure. The ferrule
crimped on the inner cable should be approximately 0.4 mm (0.010 in) from the threaded portion of the outer cable (dimension "A" Fig. 77).
When the pressure is correct. tighten the locknut.
Remove the pressure gauge and adaptor, refit the blanking plug and, it necessary. top-up the transmission fluid.
CAUTION: Do not overtighten the plug.
Road-test the car.
