Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable and disarm airbag system as described under ``Airbag, Service and Repair.''

2.

Remove driver's side dash liner for access to stop lamp/cruise control switch.

3.

Remove driver's side dash liner armature for access.

4.

Switch ignition switch to ON position, then move driver's seat to rearmost position.

5.

Cut and remove switch cable tie.

6.

Disconnect switch harness multi-plugs.

7.

Remove switch to pedal housing securing nut and bolt.

8.

Disconnect and remove switch from upper location bushing.

9.

Reverse procedure to install.
