DETERMINE where the noise is coming from. CHECK pulley alignment, freedom of rotation or damage. REPAIR or INSTALL new parts as
necessary.

CHECK belt for contamination. REMOVE belt and wash with detergent and water. If belt cannot be cleaned or is damaged, INSTALL a new
belt.

CHECK belt for correct application. 

Belt does not hold tension

INSPECT belt for cracking or damage. INSTALL a new belt if required.

CHECK belt tensioner for damage and correct operation. INSTALL a new belt tensioner if required.
