Dynamic Stability Control Lamp Illuminated After Cranking - Repair Procedure

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE

CONDITION SUMMARY:

DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC) LAMP ILLUMINATED AFTER CRANKING

Situation: 

After cranking, the DSC lamp illuminates and remains 'ON' for the remainder of the ignition cycle, with the possibility of Diagnostic Trouble Code
(DTC) U1900 stored. A missing Controller Area Network (CAN) message may be the cause.

NOTE:

The Repair Procedure is for the replacement electronic portion of the Dynamic Stability Control Module (DSCM) only and should only be performed if
all conditions have been met. The presence of DTC U1900 without the DSC lamp remaining 'ON' does not warrant a replacement DSCM.

Action: 

Should a customer express concern and all conditions have been confirmed, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to install a new Dynamic
Stability Control Module (DSCM).
