Clutch Slave Cylinder: Service and Repair

Removal 

1. Remove the manual transmission.

NOTE:  The clutch slave cylinder assembly must be replaced whenever it is removed.

2. Remove the clutch slave cylinder.

Detach the rubber grommet.

Remove the clutch slave cylinder.

WARNING:  DO NOT ALLOW BRAKE FLUID TO CONTACT THE SKIN OR EYES. IF BRAKE FLUID COMES INTO CONTACT
WITH THE SKIN OR EYES, RINSE THE AFFECTED PLACES IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS
INSTRUCTION CAN RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY. 

CAUTION:  Brake fluid will escape when the lines are disconnected.

Installation 

1. Install the clutch slave cylinder.

Attach the rubber grommet.

^

Tighten to 10 Nm.

NOTE:  Apply sealer to the mating faces of the clutch slave cylinder and the transmission housing.

2. Install the manual transmission. 

3. Bleed the hydraulic clutch system.
