Note the fitted position of the component prior to removal.

5. Remove the luggage compartment lid link wiring harness:

(Figure 4)

Disconnect the two electrical connectors

Release the fir tree clip.

CAUTION: 

Make sure that the optical cable does not bend excessively during installation. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the
component.

6. Install the new luggage compartment lid link wiring harness: (Figure 4)

Carefully position the harness through the trunk lid and body apertures.

Secure the fir tree clip.

^

Connect the two electrical connectors.

7. Secure the gaiter at both ends. (Figure 3)

8. Connect the two electrical connectors. (Figure 2)

CAUTION:

Make sure the luggage compartment weatherstrip is correctly seated to the luggage compartment trim panel. Failure to follow this instruction may
result in damage to the vehicle.

9. Secure the RH Luggage compartment trim panel. (Figure 1)

10. Refer to Workshop Manual, section 501-05: Interior Trim and Ornamentation Specification, and install the luggage compartment lid trim panel.
