6. LH and RH: Using suitable 800-grit abrasive cloth, remove the molding split line from both rear edges of the door handle strap. (Figure 3)

7. Clean handle.

CAUTION:

Do not use excessive lubricant.

8. Using a KSP 105 from the kit (JLM21206), lubricate the handle strap face, rear, and side surfaces. (Figures 3, 4)

CAUTION:

Do not completely remove the retaining screw.

9. Loosen the retaining screw and slide the handle securing plate rearwards: (Figure 5)

^ Ensure the locating lugs are tight against the door panel aperture.

^ Tighten the retaining screw.
