1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 501-04: Exterior Front Door Handle and remove the left-hand or right-hand handle.

2. LH Only: Place door lock cylinder with key slot facing 'downwards' face down.

CAUTION:

Remove only the burr and split line. Do not remove any material from radius.

3. Remove burr by filing split line from the radius. (Figure 1)

CAUTION:

Remove only the molding split line. Do not remove any material from the door handle strap.

NOTE:

Using a suitable degreaser, clean handle before and after removing the molding split line.

4. Clean handle.

5. LH and RH: Using suitable 800-grit abrasive cloth, remove the molding split line from the center of the door handle strap. (Figure 2)
