The window regulator motor thermally cut out after excessive operation; should this occur, wait 30 seconds before continuing.

1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 501:11 and initialize the front door window motor.

NOTE:

Wait 30 seconds after every five cycles.

2. Cycle the window open / close 20 times, using the one-touch up function when closing.

^ If the glass does not 'bounce back' and the one-touch up functions properly, return vehicle to customer.

^ If the glass does 'bounce back' at any time during the 20 cycles, continue to INSPECT FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR.

INSPECT FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR

1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 501-05 (76.34.01) and remove the front door trim panel.

2. Remove the access panel to gain visual access to the window regulator:

^ Ensure regulator to body-in white (BIW) screws are to correct torque (7Nm [62 lbf in])

^

Rectify as necessary

^ Ensure electrical harness is not damaged and connector is fully seated

^

Rectify as necessary

^ Ensure regulator rails, pulleys, and cables are free from obstructions

^

Rectify as necessary

NOTE:

Wait 30 seconds after every five cycles.

3. Cycle the window open / close 20 times, using the one-touch up function when closing.

^ If the glass does not 'bounce back' and the one-touch up functions properly, return vehicle to customer.

^ If the glass does 'bounce back' at any time during the 20 cycles, continue to REPLACE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR.

2. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 501-11 and initialize the front door window motor.
