Throttle Cable/Linkage: Adjustments
Throttle Cable - Vehicle Set
Adjust

Disconnect throttle cable relaxer potentiometer multi-plug.

Displace and remove the relaxer cover.

Displace and reposition the throttle cable locking sleeve.

Turn the cable adjuster until the pin of the relaxer quadrant contacts and moves the cam of the relaxer potentiometer.

With the throttle fully closed, measure the gap between the pulley stop and the throttle link arm.

Slacken and adjust the throttle cable lock nuts to obtain a .5 mm gap between the stop and the link arm.

Depress throttle pedal 20 times to settle cables.

Turn the cable adjuster until the pin of the relaxer quadrant contacts and moves the cam of the relaxer potentiometer.

Slacken and adjust the throttle cable lock nuts to obtain a .5 mm gap between the stop and the link arm.

Ensure the cable does not open the throttle pot with a fully closed throttle.

Finally tighten throttle cable lock nuts and reposition pedal housing to relaxer cable adjuster locking sleeve.

Fit and align relaxer cover.

Connect relaxer potentiometer multi-plug.
-
Adjust kick down switch.
